About Me
I'm Jennifer Shapka, a Senior Advisor for Provincial Initiatives with a career spanning over a decade at Alberta Health Services. My primary focus has been in leadership roles, where I've honed a diverse skill set to drive excellence in healthcare operations. Throughout my career, I've developed a strong foundation in project management, leadership, and strategic planning. I am passionate about leading and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of inspiration and confidence.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I'm currently pursuing a Master of Health Studies, from Athabasca University's Faculty of Healthy Disciplines. My academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Alberta, along with Certificates in Prosci Change Management, Project Management, and an AIW Greenbelt Certificate in Process Improvement.
Beyond healthcare and education, I find joy in outdoor activities. I am an avid traveler, visiting 43 countries and counting. When at home I enjoy hiking in the stunning landscapes of the Rocky Mountains. Furthermore, I am committed to my community and hold the role as Secretary on the Board of Directors for Airdrie and District Victim Services.
